The summer came, you are ready for vacation! You trying you swimming suit and…oops. Not happy about what you see. Or there is that wedding in a month, everyone is gonna be there… Or you just did your blood test and you see your holesterol and triglyceride are on the roof.

Okay, so you are motivated now, so from tomorrow you are starting strict diet. You will eat only boiled chicken and broccoli, no more any kind of sugar, no more sodas and crisps, no more nothing! Right? Wroong. You will do this for 3 days, and very easy fall back into old routine.

The glimps of motivation is great, and you should use it, but the motivation is not gonna stay there forever.

Discipline might stay though!

You need to look at this journey as a long term thing. As a lifestyile. And it will not be possible for you to change a lifestyle in one day.

The change should not be drastic, the one that you can not keep up with

Let’s start with changing a breakfast. Reducing to one dice of chocolate instead of 300 grams of it. Adding some greens with each of your meals. Adding more water. Changing that soda for sugar free one

consistancy is the key

Find the balance, life doesn’t have to become boring just because you want to lose some weight. You can still enjoy the food.

There is the way, the only thing you need is a proper guidance.

Wellness, fitness, weight loss or muscle gain is not a 100 m race. It’s a marathon.

Effective and Sustainable Healthy Weight Loss Strategies

In a world where fad diets and extreme weight loss methods often dominate the conversation, achieving healthy weight loss can seem like an uphill battle. However, the key to successful and sustainable weight loss lies in adopting a holistic approach that focuses on both physical and mental well-being.

Set Realistic Goals

The journey to a healthier weight begins with setting achievable goals. Rather than fixating on rapid results, aim for a steady and sustainable weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week. This approach not only prevents drastic changes to your body but also reduces the risk of losing muscle mass.

Balanced Diet, Not Deprivation

Eating well is the cornerstone of healthy weight loss. Opt for a balanced diet that includes a variety of nutrient-rich foods such as whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats. Steer clear of restrictive diets that eliminate entire food groups, as they can lead to nutrient deficiencies and unsustainable habits.

Portion Control

Practicing portion control is vital for managing calorie intake. Use smaller plates and bowls to help regulate portion sizes and prevent overeating. Mindful eating, where you savor each bite and listen to your body’s hunger cues, can also foster a healthier relationship with food.

Stay Hydrated

Water plays a crucial role in weight loss by promoting satiety and boosting metabolism. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and consider opting for water-rich foods like cucumbers, watermelon, and leafy greens.

Manage Stress

Chronic stress can contribute to weight gain by triggering emotional eating and hormonal imbalances. Practice stress-reduction techniques such as meditation, yoga, deep breathing, or engaging in hobbies you enjoy.

Track Your Progress

Keeping track of your weight loss journey can provide valuable insights and motivation. Consider using a journal, mobile app, or even progress photos to monitor your accomplishments and make necessary adjustments.

Stay Consistent and Patient

Healthy weight loss is a gradual process that requires patience and consistency. Embrace setbacks as learning opportunities and stay committed to your long-term well-being.

Achieving healthy weight loss goes beyond shedding pounds—it’s about prioritizing your overall health and well-being. By adopting a balanced diet, staying active, managing stress, and seeking support when needed, you can embark on a journey toward sustainable weight loss that enhances your quality of life. Remember, the ultimate goal is to develop healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Weather you are training for looks, or sports performance, it is very important to understand that what you do outside of the gym will determine what kind of results you will get.

By training, you are “damaging” the muscle, creating micro traumas on muscle fibers. Straight after that, it’s time to recover this ripped muscle fibers and make the muscle grow. The best ways to do this is to prioritize sleep-8 hours of good quality sleep, and by eating good quality food.

And yes, it is simple as that. Probably you were looking for a big secret, magic pill, something special that professional athletes are using. But actually, it is that simple. And this is the only proper way, that will make real results that will stay.

Sleep Good!

Trying to keep yourself in good energy levels by stuffing yourself with coffee, but not sleeping enough, and not sleeping proper hours (because 8 hours of sleep are not just any 8 hours you pick in the day.. yes, it’s night sleep, from 10 pm, throughout the night), will do you more harm than good, and it is not a solution.

Even if you are in bad routine currently, and your sleep schedule is messed up, there is a solution for that. For the best results, professional athletes are trying to maintain what nature gave is. When the sun is going down, its gradually becoming darker, and our body slowly starts producing melatonin- hormone that helps us fall asleep.

No Blue Light in Night

But then, 21st century came, and we all kept looking at different kind of screens- phones, laptops, etc. that is interrupting our natural melatonin production. This is making it more difficult for us to fall asleep at a proper time. In order to change this, it would be great to stop looking at the screens earlier in a day, about 2 hours before going to bed. This is pretty difficult to do, I know. It’s good that there is more solutions to that. You can use blue light blocking glasses, that will stop blue light reaching your eyes, and also the phones have options of switching off the blue light.

This is just few tips that may help, but at the end of the day, nothing can do the trick if you don’t make a decision and get disciplined.
